EDUC 210 Language Learning and LinguisticDevelopment This course develops students' understandings of typical and atypical speech and language development from birth through age eight in monolingual and multilingual children with a focus on the rights of the learner. Students explore the relationships between linguistic and language development, and other areas of development and learning are explored. Since language is integral to thinking and learning processes, the course frames students' examination of the biological, environmental, social, and cultural components of language learning and linguistic development.
